Who can receive an ITA to apply for Canadian PR under Express Entry?

All Candidates under FSW, FST, CEC, and PNP must register themselves in the Express Entry pool and wait for an Invitation-to-Apply (ITA) from CIC to apply for Canadian PR or permanent residence. ITA issues based on how many Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points each candidate has obtained. The highest CRS score is 1200, whereas 600 points is for human capital factors, spousal factors, transferability factors (A+B+C), and 600 points is for an offer of arranged employment in Canada or a provincial nomination certificate.

To date all draws have been above 468 CRS Points.

If candidate does not have an offer of arranged employment in Canada (or any Canadian work experience), only a candidate attain enough score to receive an ITA based on his/her age, language, work experience and education, if:

  • (AGE) Between 20-31 years old, and;
  • (EDUCATION) Having two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees of three or more years program, and;
  • (LANGUAGE) CLB 9 or higher in an IELTS General 7.0, and;
  • (WORK EXPERIENCE) Having three years or more of skilled work experience under NOC A, B, 0.
